A Place to Show Up, Be Heard, and Feel Less Alone
Community grief gatherings and events open to everyone across North Texas
Grief can be an isolating experience, but it does not have to be walked alone. AlēvCare hosts regular community gatherings designed to offer connection, honest conversation, and gentle support for anyone navigating loss.
Whether you are newly grieving or years into the journey, you are welcome here. No registration, no pressure, and no expectation of where you should be. Just people who understand, and space to breathe.
About Our Events
AlēvCare’s community events are rooted in the same values that guide our hospice care: compassion, presence, and a deep respect for each person’s experience. Our gatherings are not clinical programs or structured therapy sessions. They are informal, welcoming spaces where people come together around shared experience and find that community itself can be healing.
Events are open to the public. You do not need to be an AlēvCare family to attend. Grief touches everyone, and everyone is welcome.

Special Events
Grief and the Holidays Workshop
Practical support for the whole family during the hardest season of the year
The holidays can bring an unexpected weight for those who are grieving. Familiar traditions, empty chairs, and well-meaning gatherings can make loss feel sharper, not softer. The Grief and the Holidays Workshop is a dedicated space for families to come together, talk honestly about what the season feels like, and leave with practical tools for moving through it.
This workshop is designed for children and adults alike. Families are encouraged to attend together.
November 10 at 6:00 pm | Mansfield Territory
November 12 at 6:00 pm | Cleburne Territory
Specific locations will be announced closer to the event dates. Registration is required.

Stay Informed: Comforting Care Newsletter
Comforting Care is AlēvCare’s quarterly grief newsletter, offering seasonal reflections, grief education, practical guidance, and a heads-up on upcoming events and gatherings. It is written for anyone touched by loss and for those who support them.
The Spring 2026 issue, When the Seasons Shift, So Do We, explores how grief moves alongside the changing seasons, why emotional shifts are a healthy and normal part of loss, and how to find small moments of steadiness when the days feel unpredictable. It also includes upcoming Coffee and Conversations dates and a spotlight on AlēvCare’s grief support programs.

What to Expect When You Attend
If you have never attended a grief gathering before, it is natural to feel uncertain about what to expect. Here is a simple picture of what our events are like:
- Informal and welcoming. There is no formal check-in, no structured agenda, and no pressure to speak.
- Open to all. You do not need to be connected to AlēvCare or hospice care to attend.
- Confidential and respectful. What is shared in the room stays in the room.
- At your own pace. You can arrive late, leave early, and return as often as you need.
- No grief experience required. Whether your loss is recent or years in the past, you belong here.
Can’t Attend in Person?
If you are not able to join us at an in-person gathering, there are other ways to stay connected and find support. Our Grief Support Resources page includes a list of virtual support groups, online communities, and downloadable materials available to anyone in North Texas and beyond.
