Hospice Care in Dallas County

Dallas County is home to world class hospitals, busy clinics, and some of the best medical specialists in Texas. In a large healthcare system, it can be easy to feel like one more name on a long list. As serious illness progresses, there often comes a point when care needs begin to extend beyond clinic visits and hospital stays and into daily life at home.

AlēvCare Hospice supports families during this transition by:

  • Coordinating with Dallas-based hospitals and physician practices
  • Working alongside case managers and discharge planners
  • Helping families understand how hospice fits with their existing medical care
  • Clarifying what will stay the same and what may change as comfort becomes the priority
  • Our role is to complement the medical care your loved one has already received by bringing consistent, home-based support focused on comfort, communication, and day-to-day guidance for families.

How Hospice Care Helps Families in Dallas County

Many families in Dallas County receive care through large hospital systems and specialty practices. When care shifts from cure-focused treatment to comfort-focused care, navigating multiple providers, portals, and opinions can feel overwhelming.

AlēvCare Hospice helps by:

  • Coordinating with Dallas-based hospitals and physician practices
  • Working with case managers and discharge planners to make transitions smooth

Our goal is to help families move from hospital-centered care to home- or facility-based hospice care with clarity and confidence.

Support for Busy Urban and Suburban Caregivers

Caregivers in Dallas County are often balancing full-time work, commuting, children’s schedules, and responsibilities to aging parents or grandparents. Serious illness can quickly stretch an already full life beyond its limits.

AlēvCare Hospice supports caregivers by:

  • Scheduling visits as predictably as possible
  • Teaching what is urgent and what is expected so you are not guessing
  • Offering respite care options when you need a planned short break
  • Providing 24/7 nurse-supported phone coverage for urgent concerns
  • Sharing simple, practical guidance that fits into daily life

We want you to remain a son, daughter, spouse, or friend first, not only a full-time caregiver.

Common Questions From Dallas County Families

  • “Can we keep our Dallas-based doctors involved?”
Yes. Your existing physicians can remain part of your care. Our hospice Medical Director and nurses coordinate with them so the plan of care reflects everyone’s input.
  • “Is hospice only for the very last days?”
No. Hospice is designed for the last months of life when the focus shifts to comfort, dignity, and quality of life rather than curative treatments.
  • “What if my loved one is in a high-rise or large apartment complex?”
We care for patients in many types of housing, including apartments and high-rises, as long as it is safe and accessible for our team to enter the building and provide care.

My mother was cared for by AlevCare during the last few months of her life. From the administration, volunteers, chaplains, aids and especially the nurses the care she received was top notch. My sister and I feel that their compassionate and thoughtful care greatly improved the quality of her life. Additionally, they communicated with us frequently and we knew what to expect. Since Mom passed (gently and painlessly)they have been very supportive for our family.

I highly recommend AlevCare.

Miss Becky came into my life from a referral. What an absolute Godsend she is! Her crew were quick to get a hospital bed and supplies to my house and all of the people she sent were the very best at what they do. First it was a company called Horizon that came and set up the bed, oxygen and supplies. Mark at Horizon was professional and fast at delivery and pick up. They also had medications delivered to my door! Then it was the Case Worker, Tonya, and the RN Carlie that made decisions that were best for our situation. Two nurse angels from Mercy named Carol and Kristin took shifts to keep my darling husband comfortable while I grieved. There was also Nurse Celia who was so compassionate and patient with my confused husband!! Miss Becky had everything under control during a heartbreaking time for me and from start to finish the whole team was compassionate, professional and extremely competent. I recommend AlevCare Hospice very highly should your family be in the heartbreaking situation we were in. I call them the parade of angels that show up and manage the entire process for you. Thank you to this lovely team of sweet professionals! I will be grateful to each one of you for the rest of my life!
